Based on the incredible true story of Mohammad Assaf, who growing up in the Gaza Strip, formed bands with his tomboy sister and motley crew of friends from a very young age. But the prospects of singing professionally seemed an impossible dream. Taking part in the live singing competition ‘Arab Idol’ in Egypt was a long shot – with the hurdles of owning no passport, passing through closed borders and not even an audition invitation. This film relives the incredible ascent of a major new star.

After 15 years together, a separating couple battle over their stylish apartment, revealing the complexities of their relationship and the depth of the rifts between them. Marie and Boris are calling it quits, but can’t resolve the details of the division of their prize asset, the wonderful apartment they share with their young twin daughters and continue living together. Marie is the breadwinner in the relationship, but it was her family's wealth, that allowed the couple to purchase their stylish apartment. On the other hand it was her husband’s renovation work that added significant value to the property! The film avoids taking sides in this absorbing family drama, inviting the audience to see that both parties are right, and both are wrong.

This hard-hitting crime saga illustrates how "disappearances" continued in Argentina even after the dictatorship ended in 1981. This case of ‘disappearance’ is so upsetting many refused to believe it was possible. It is retold in ghastly detail in a Hollywood-style account of the Puccio fiasco, in which a relatively well-to-do family kidnapped their rich neighbors in order to extort ransoms from their relatives. Masterminded by Puccio, a former state intelligence worker, who found a new role in snatching rich targets off the streets and imprisoning them in his own home until their families coughed up the ransom money - except the victims never manage to make it back alive.

Won Silver Lion Venice Film Festival 2015.

Set at a time when Nepal was ravaged by a deadly Maoist insurgency, the story revolves around two rural boys’ search for a hen on which their futures hinge, The film unfolds in 2001 at a time in Nepal when a protracted civil war between the army and left-wing rebels seems to be winding down, with both parties reaching out for peace talks. But the tension remains high, as both sides continue to play brinksmanship in the rural hinterlands: menacing soldiers in full military attire still patrol the heavily militarized countryside, while guerillas stage sermons and shows in villages in an attempt to rally support from the impoverished and mostly illiterate rural population. However the film’s two young protagonists confront more practical issues in life.
