(Im Labyrinth des Schweigens)
Director: Giulio Ricciarelli
A principled young prosecutor in post war Germany uncovers inconvenient truths about how thousands of former Nazis simply returned to their everyday lives following the war, and begins to build cases against the war criminals of Auschwitz, while his older superiors would prefer to let sleeping Nazis lie. However he can only prosecute those charged with murder. The film reveals that well into the 1950s most Germans may have known nothing of what transpired in the death camps such as Auschwitz.
