Jep, a journalist and novelist, has for decades charmed, partied and seduced his way through life among Rome’s literary hedonistic social circles, living off the success of his one and only novel. But on his 65th birthday he meets with a bit of a shock from the past, which forces him to take stock of his life. This film was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes and captured a total of four European Film Awards.
