The famous French painter gets a new lease of life in his seventies when he hires the vivacious Andrée as a model. When his 21 year old son, Jean comes home severely wounded from the Great War he is smitten by Andrée’s feminine charms and falls in love. Jean Renoir goes on to become one of France’s most famous film directors and marries Andrée who becomes the leading lady in his early classics. A true story set in the gorgeous south of France.
